David P. Herrmann, CFP®, CEO, Advisor Associate
David is the founder and chief executive officer of Herrmann & Cooke, Inc.(formerly Herrmann Financial Services, Inc.) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM professional. David specializes in retirement planning, estate planning, portfolio management, insurance (CA Insurance License #0713662), and client service.
David served as vice chairman of the District Business Conduct Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA) and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
He coauthored Ways & Means,on ways to increase the value of your retirement dollars, and Strictly Business,on planning strategies for privately owned businesses. David's extensive community service has included serving on the boards of Shepherd's Gate, the Concord Rotary Club, Child Assault Prevention of Contra Costa County, Inc., and Heartlight, Inc. He is a past president of the Tri-Valley Executives Association and served as a Trustee for the Concord Rotary Endowment Fund. He also served as an elder and a deacon at Community Presbyterian Church in Danville and currently serves as the chief financial officer for Micro Business Mentors.
David graduated from the California Army National Guard Officer Candidate School, California State University, Northridge, and the College for Financial Planning.

Jason M. Cooke, CFP®, President, Advisor Associate
Jason is president of Herrmann & Cooke, Inc. (formerly Herrmann Financial Services) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM professional.
Jason specializes in advising clients on strategic planning issues, including portfolio management and diversification, retirement planning, income tax strategies, and estate planning. He also manages client service, new-business development, investment research, reporting, trading, and the firm's technology services.
Jason's professional career includes working for Bechtel Engineering and with GT Global Investment Services prior to joining our firm in 1995. Jason's 20 years with the firm include nine years as a securities broker, he now works solely as a fee-based advisor. He is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach.
Jason's community service includes serving as an appointee to the City of Walnut Creek's Blue Ribbon Task Force on Fiscal Health in 2011. He is a member of the East Bay chapter of the Financial Planning Association and is a past president of the Tri-Valley Executives Association.
Jason is a board member and treasurer for Lake Lakewood Association in Walnut Creek. He also serves as an Advisory Board member on the Walnut Festival Association, responsible for the festival's annual Run for Education. Jason is an avid runner who coaches Saint Mary's CYO cross-country team in the fall.

Kerry L. Davis, CFA, CFP®, Vice President, Advisor Associate
Kerry holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst®; she is a member of the CFA Institute and the Financial Planning Association and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM professional.
Kerry leads the firm's Investment Committee and specializes in portfolio analysis, retirement planning, asset allocation, and investment policy development, investment research, client service, and compliance.
Kerry has 27 years' experience in financial services and 17 years at Herrmann & Cooke. Before joining Herrmann & Cooke, Kerry worked as a relationship manager for institutional fixed-income clients for the Investment Management Groups at both Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America. Kerry is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
A longtime resident of the San Ramon Valley, Kerry enjoys being involved in the community and has volunteered on various school, sports and church related boards and committees over the years. She loves the outdoors and finds as many opportunities as possible to play competitive tennis.

Brenda J. Herrmann, Executive Vice President
Brenda has served as chief financial officer for Herrmann & Cooke for 30 years. Prior to that, she was a co-owner of Artex Enterprises, Inc., an electronics wholesale distributor. She currently serves on the board of directors of Krause & Nagy Environmental Solutions, LLC. Brenda is a licensed private pilot and an avid reader. She has been married to her husband, David, for 46 years; they have two children and one grandson.
Janet Christiansen, Administrative Assistant
Janet Christiansen has worked for Herrmann & Cooke for over nine years as an administrative assistant supporting the needs of our clients and office personnel. Prior to joining Herrmann & Cooke, she worked as a training coordinator for Silicon Graphics, where she coordinated on-site hardware and software training for clients around the world.
Janet is a second-generation Californian who grew up in Redwood City and currently lives in Dublin with her family. She has volunteered as a member of Tri-Valley Animal Rescue, serving as the coordinator for the cat and dog neuter/spay discount program.
Janet enjoys working out, gardening, sewing, playing with her two grandchildren, hiking in foreign countries, reading, and watching major league sports.
Janet has an associate's degree in general education from San Mateo Junior College and has taken other college courses to further her education.
Travis McEuen, Client Service
Born and raised in the East Bay, Travis recently received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Saint Mary’s College of California. He is part of Herrmann & Cooke’s Client Service Team and works with clients and advisors in opening accounts, transferring assets, and providing service in a variety areas.
While in school, Travis co-founded the conference winning Saint Mary’s club cycling team. When not in the office, he can be found exploring the beautiful East Bay hills on his bicycle or enjoying the many outdoor activities the Bay Area has to offer.
Roy Huang, Portfolio Accountant/Trade Operation
Roy joined Herrmann & Cooke in 2014. As a trade operation associate, he is primarily responsible for portfolio administration, daily trade execution, clients' cash-flow analysis, and various portfolio management related activities/projects. Additionally, he works closely with the investment committee and advisory team in preparing investment recommendations and financial plans to execute our firm's investment strategies.
Roy has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration: Honors Financial Services and two minors in both Economics and Mathematics from St. Mary's College of California.
As a Chinese immigrant who has lived and studied in the U.S for more than 6 years, Roy enjoys cooking, running, playing basketball and badminton, and outdoor activities. He also did a lot of community services when he was in high school and college in different organizations, including Catholic Institute for Lasallian Social Action (CILSA), General Assistance Advocacy Project, American Red Cross, and Youth for Chinese Elderly.
Julie Valpoon, Client Service & Notary
Julie was born and raised here in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently resides in nearby San Ramon. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a teenage daughter.
Prior to the finance industry, her background includes having worked in the property and building management field for over 20 years in Human Resources. Her knowledge, creativeness and overall skills are an asset to Herrmann & Cooke and our clients. She is also a notary and provides notary services to our clients.
Julie enjoys life with a positive outlook and a humorous side. In her free time she is out exploring the Bay Area trails, spending quality time with her family or reading a good book. She also tries to play golf and has an occasional good game out on the course.
Julie has an associate's degree in Liberal Arts from Chabot Community College, Hayward, CA.
